I am a simplistic spirit-filled woman with a big heart living in a small town in Wisconsin.
Although I live in a small town, l grew up in the inner city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I learned, at a very young age, people come from all walks of life. NEVER judge anyone by who they are, what they have or where they live.
Everyone has a story, a journey and has gone through life challenges.
I believe... we are ALWAYS Starting Over!
Everyday we "Start Over" with a clean slate to create new beginnings, write those paragraphs that turn into new pages and become new chapters, which complete a new book.
I HAD TO START OVER AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
After being sexually abused at 14, I STARTED OVER and embraced my FAITH.
After having two miscarriages, then three months pregnant, a decision had to be made. Keep your baby who may be born with many defects or trust God and His plan? I chose my FAITH and trusted God. I was blessed with a little girl.
Fast forward and after two more miscarriages, I was told my pre-mature son wouldn't make it through the night, I STARTED OVER and chose FAITH. He survived and he is doing amazing!
After 20 years, my cozy picture perfect life, (married, with two children and living in a brand new house), was broken. While broke and broken with just enough money for a Penske truck, I STARTED OVER in my hot and humid hometown in Wisconsin from the beautiful mountains and dry state of Colorado.
It wasn't a house, it was our home; an old and needing an extreme makeover Townhome, which kept us from being homeless.
Having "it all" wasn't important to me. STARTING OVER and being the best spirit-filled single mom for my two teenagers was!
Everyday I START OVER! I went from sleepless nights wondering how to pay rent, buy groceries and gas for my car; crying myself to sleep more nights than I wanted to admit; ashamed to tell my children about my 3:00 a.m. emails to the Pastor of the church asking for prayers and guidance; having church members help with dinners and groceries; realizing my FAITH made me stronger and how "stuff" wasn't important, my beautiful children, our priceless moments and amazing memories were more than I would ever need.
STARTING OVER and change is hard. With FAITH, HOPE, LOVE and guidance, any negative chapter can become a beautiful end to an incredible story.
Each time I STARTED OVER, I either took jobs I needed in order to survive, or had jobs I loved, but had to leave because it was the best decision for me and my family.
I STARTED OVER each new chapter with FAITH, HOPE & LOVE. I embrace my FAITH, never give up HOPE and send LOVE to everyone.
My messes have turned into messages.

BIOGRAPHY
Mary A. Markham is a Spiritual Director. Spiritual direction is not about being directed, rather, it is about being encouraged to draw closer to your true self. Mary received her certification from the Global Benedictine Spiritual Direction Program through Benet Hill Monastery. Mary also has been an ICF (International Coaching Federation) ACC Spiritual Life Coach since 2022. She helps others draw closer to their true self, to grow, transform and thrive by deepening their F.A.I.T.H. to transition through mid-life changes with confidence, grace and ease, feeling valued and heard. Mary allows the Holy Spirit to work in and through her to increase positivity and self-awareness.
Mary is a published author of her first Children's book "Seeds of Life" and "In God's Hands, a Memoir of Hope" and a Best Selling co-author of three compilations "Manifesting Your Dreams," "The Miracle Effect" and "Take Back Your Power." Mary has spent years as a Coordinator for a non-profit organization helping homeless families, a Facilitator for Divorce and Beyond (helping women with life after divorce), a Mentor, and Teacher.
Mary loves spending time with her husband Craig, grandchildren, and beautiful blended family. She loves traveling, gardening and is a lifelong learner.
